About Liisa, the Painter

Like said, Liisa was the girl who painted all the time when young, dreaming to study Art and to be a Professional Painter. After abandoning the Dream when deciding she was not talented enough, she made her living in a totally different branch, a lot more conventional. She was raising her family as well – two lovely daughters, adults by now - and keeping horses. Decades later, having faced some heavy ordeals in her Life, she ended up into a situation where she had to totally re-build herself. This process made her paint again, after 44 years, like a ”must”. She found her Mission, gratefully and humbly. Identifying that she needed guidance to develop her skills and personality as a Painter further, she started Mastery Program on-line studies at Milan Art Institute in January 2022 and will graduate in 2023. Liisa is a member of Finnish Artists Association.  She was born in the North, in Finland, in 1961.

Liisa´s favourite quote is by the Poet John Keates (1795 - 1821): ”A Thing of Beauty is a Joy for Ever”. She feels her Mission is to bring Joy and Beauty into our World via her Art. She loves especially to paint Horses, because they are the symbol of boldness and nobleness for her: ”Couer, Courage”. ”Couer, Courage” has been her Life long challenge. She strongly believes she can beat the challenge with her Art, in many ways. She also wishes she can engourage other people to make their Dreams come true, like she does. In her Art she uses strong and rich colours in harmonic or even limited palette and her style is abstract impressive with a hint of realism, sometimes even surrealism. She loves oil paints and canvas the most of all media, and often uses strong textures.

She is currently painting at her beaufitul home, with a view to the lake she loves to look at, especially when the morning has broken. She wishes she still has time enough to fullfil her beloved new-found Mission despite her age that she feels is high by now. She loves Life, us Humans and Art, wanting to share her Happiness through her work!
